You Gave Me A Song.

At 83, Alice Gerrard is one of America's living treasures. She continues to create new music, perform with diverse collaborators, and inspire the next generation of old time and Americana musicians.

This is the time to make this film. You can help us do it.

The Old Time Crowdfunding Campaign

We excitedly launched the Old Time Crowdfunding Campaign with a goal to raise $20,000 in the Fall of 2017. As with most crowdfunding projects, we aimed to surpass our goal with many ($25-$50) smaller contributions, a good number of medium sized ($100 - $250) contributions, and a handful of larger ($500 and up) contributions. We welcome all levels of support.

In addition to making donations to the film, film fan's efforts to recruit your own circle of film contributors and spread the word via your social and music networks were all critical to our success. It takes a village. And we are grateful for all help in building a community around the film.

Project update

We started this campaign to help us complete production work and begin editing the film. On the production front, Kenny has traveled across the country to interview Alice's family, friends, and collaborators. He's hired cinematographers to work with him on these shoots.  Kenny and Alice also continue shooting additional scenes related to the film story. Our fundraiser also supports the start of post production work running into 2018.

Folks are asking, "When can we see the film?" Our plan is to reach our total fundraising goal of $120,000 in 2018. This Old Time Crowdfunding Campaign is an important piece of this goal.

UPDATE OCTOBER 2, 2017

Thrilled to share that in just a few short days we passed the halfway point! We can't say how grateful we are to all the people out there who love Alice, think her story is important and trust us to share it.

UPDATE November 1, 2017

We did it! We surpassed our goal. Thanks to everyone who contributed. We can't wait to share this story with you.
