In a career spanning some 50 years, Alice Gerrard has known, learned from, and performed with many of the old-time bluegrass greats and has earned worldwide respect for her own important contributions to the music. She is noted for her compelling, eclectic songwriting, powerful, hard-edged vocals, instrumental mastery on rhythm guitar, banjo, and old-time fiddle, and her groundbreaking collaboration with Appalachian singer Hazel Dickens during the 1960s and ‘70s. Don’t miss this soulful evening of folk, bluegrass, and the spirit of Appalachia.
